Do I need to get my pressure vessel inspected?
Yes, pressure equipment inspection is actually legislated and with good reason because a pressure vessel that has been: installed incorrectly or/and improperly maintained or/and had non-compliant alterations or/and simply wasn’t designed to the standards in the first place can be a dangerous hazard to your workplace.

Do I need to get my pressure vessel plant item registered?
No, not in Victoria. This stopped in 2014.
If I don’t have to register my pressure vessel/s, what do I have to do?
In Victoria, design registrations are still mandatory for all pressure vessels with hazard level D or higher. and you need to ensure that your pressure equipment is inspected to the extent necessary to ensure that any risk associated with the use of the plant is monitored
I don’t know whether my pressure vessel/s has design registration or not. How do I find out?
This is one of the many things we check during our inspection. We can advise of your design registration after completing your inspection.
