Training
Licence to operate a steam engine- High risk work licence
Adept will get you ready for steam engine operation
Our Steam Engine Licence training course will have you primed and ready to get your license.
Steam Engine Licenses allow you to operate and use a reciprocating steam engine containing a piston of 250 millimetres or more in diameter, including expanding (steam) reciprocating engines.

Delivery
Our Reciprocating Steam Engine License training is a three-day on-site theoretical training course with assessments. Each trainee completes a training log book and is then assessed through two-hour practical assessments by Adept Assessors.
Requirements
All Adept requires is that you already have access to your own equipment for training and assessment.
Assessment
Adept prepares trainees through written and practical assessments in our Reciprocating Steam Engine License course. These assessments allow our Trainers to provide constructive feedback to candidates so they can improve their competence and are better prepared for the State Authority assessment.
Once a trainee has completed our training and passed our practical assessment, we will schedule a Safework NSW State Authority Assessment for them. Successful trainees receive a Notice of Satisfactory Assessment, which will need to be processed, along with 100 points of identification, through the Australia Post Office.
